Got caught on a conference call with my boss and Jimmy John..... Ended up missing practice.  Got home late from work and then had family come to town.... Didn't get out running until 10 pm.  Ran 8.25.  3 long st James loops and 1 short one, all easy, just going over my plans for 2014 and listening to a little Africa.

First run in 2 weeks.  I hurt my calf while jogging through a hotel lobby in FL to meet some friends for dinner.  All the sudden I felt a pop in my calf and knew something was seriously wrong.  Even now I don't know if I just tore a muscle or, more likely, if my plantaris tendon ruptured.  Either way it hurt for a few days, I tried jogging on it a few times but it still hurt.  Finally on Monday I ran 3 miles with no pain or problems.  Plan is to ease back into it this week and then rejoin the troops next week.
