| | First run of the year. Missed running for 10 days because of a sore throat/monster canker sore over the Christmas break.

| | Drove out to run the little black mtn. loop for 10 or so but felt so crappy I ended up turning back after 3. Nice day but still dragging from being sick.

| | 6.2 at lunch by myself around the mayor's loop. Missed running with the team to go to a dr. appt. with my wife. Felt much better today. Right ankle wasn't bugging.
Hopefully 2015 is a good year. I want to get into great shape and improve. I could stand to lose 20 lbs and eat a bit better. I'm hoping to get enough work in to run a decent mile time during track season. Last year I hit 5:24 at PV--I'd love to be closer to 5:00 this year. My goal for miles last year was 3000, which I did not hit because of injuries--I'll try again in 2015. It's very plausible as long as I keep healthy--mostly just thinking of my calves. I'd like to hit 50 miles a week in January and slowly ramp the mileage up from there to 80 or so for the bulk of marathon training. And my main running goal is to get into shape to run 2:45 at SGM in Oct.

| | Long day at work. Got home at 530 and went for a run. Great temps. 8 miles on the river trail.

| | 8 this morning out towards Bloomington on the trails before driving the kids to SLC and catching a plane. Reminds me how much I don't miss running in the smog.

| | Normally don't run on Sunday, but I could stay cooped up in my hotel room for so long....plus I knew I would be hard pressed to get decent mileage in around my work schedule on Monday and Tuesday. Ran a couple of out and backs from the hotel.

| | Late after a long day of traveling back from FL. Ran around the mayor's loop. Cut it off a couple miles early because my right calf was tight. Stretched and rolled it.

6.0 with the girls out by Warner Valley. Ran a little tempo with them at 7:30 pace---we have a good nucleus of girls for XC next year.

| | Long stressful day at work. Had to skip running at lunch, then skip practice. Ran 10 miles once I got home late.

| | Up at the condo at BH. Took my girls skiing--which makes me sore in places I never get sore in otherwise. After the lifts shut down I ran around BH until it got dark. Cold and windy. I suck at running hills--and I suck a lot more when I do it at 10k feet.

| | 6 miles at lunch. Then got stuck at work and didn't make practice. Right foot hurt and my right groin was a bit tight.

| | Long day at the office with no time for a run. After the kids went to bed I went out to try and get 10 in--foot was hurting and I ended turning around early. Right groin also really started to bother me--I think because I was altering my stride to compensate for the pain in my foot. Not a great run.

| | Still foot problems. Went and saw my BIL, a podiatrist, and he quickly diagnosed it as plantar fasciitis. But instead of the pain being in my heel as is typical it is much further forward in my foot. Took the day off.

| | Decided to take the rest of the week off running and cross train instead. Did an hour on the elliptical at the gym--going to call it 6 miles.
