| | 7.8 at lunch with the lawyer up the ironman course. Not much oomph in the legs today.
3.0 at the school before the 800.

| | 10 at lunch from my office out to Bloomington, on Navajo for a while, and then back. Great temps, but the wind was terrible. Legs felt great, back stiffened up on me a bit the last 2 miles which is something I've never had happen before. Need to get a good stretch in tonight.

| | Ugly run after priesthood session. Meant to do 15 and ran 7.5 miles out into Bloomington before turning around. Got to about mile 8 and then started having stomach issues, and the more issues every mile it so after that. It was bad. Just went straight back home.

| | Team practiced in the morning during work hours.....could not make it.
Did 8.3 at lunch from my office to cottonwood park and back. Legs felt great.
3 mile shakeout run after work.

| | Long day....didn't feel like running when it ended but glad I did. Work was a bit busy and stressful and there was no opportunity for a run. Headed straight from work to the panzer relays. Glad to see little Thatcher nailed his 1600 in less than perfect conditions. Straight from the meet to YM....then eventually home. Read to the girls then headed out for 10 at 9:30. Great weather and things felt great once I got a couple miles in. Nice to just run and sort through life via running in the dark.

| | Another long day........missed running at lunch and couldn't make it to practice.
After work ran from my office out through Sun River and back. Yesterday the legs felt great, but today they were flat and by the end I could tell I had not drank enough fluids during the day. Need to do better at that.

| | 7.6 with the doctor, from the lawyer's office up the ironman course. The lawyer ditched us to go ride his bike--he has about 3 weeks to get in shape for the ironman.
4 with the team out through the industrial park. The girls screamed and cried, but we made them run as a pack with only 1 casualty.
Calves are tightening up just a bit.

| | 10.3 at lunch. Legs bounced back nicely from yesterday and the weather was just about perfect. Great temps and no wind---should result in some fast mile times at the DH invite later today. Ran from my office to the new bridge out in the fields and back. Averaged 8:13.

| | Ran 4.5 from my house to the high school to watch the 800. Thought I had lots of extra time but I got there just as the girls were starting out. Helped with the 800 starting lines, then headed back out to finish my run. Ran out to the food bank, then headed back home. 2nd half of the run ended up being 7.6. Legs felt good---though I should note that my left Achilles hurt a bit during the night. Got up and got an ice pack on it for a bit and haven't heard from it yet.

| | 8.2 at lunch. Did the first 5 with the doctor at 7:50 pace, but he got a call and had to cut it short to go to the hospital for a procedure. Did a 3 mile cool down easy on my own.
6.6 at practice with the girls. Out through the industrial park, over to the dirt mile, Little Valley park, and back on the bridge morning run. Did 8 x 1 minute fartlek after the first 2 miles. Poor Laynee never knew what hit her on the last one. Hot, but a decent run.
Felt a bit of a sore throat coming on........went to bed early.

| | 6 at lunch by myself. Ran up to star nursery in green valley and back. Throat is better today but I just don't have much energy.
6 at practice with the boys out towards sun river. Felt much better than my lunch run. Finished 3rd overall, just behind Gibby and Logan.

| | 8 at lunch by myself up to the red hill. Crappy weather and windy. Forgettable run.
6 at practice with some of the boys who don't race until Saturday. He who runs with a quiver was there. Pace was a bit faster than I wanted on the way back, but the legs responded.

| | Stuck at work for most of the day with no chance to escape for a run. Made it out just in time to see Boston finish up his heat of the mile and then watch the fast section go. After the meet I just had time for a quick 5 miles before family commitments. Took Courtney along with me on her bike and she did great, though the heat started to get to her at the end.

| | Ran 8 to theetrack meet at Dixie and got there in time for the 3200. Boys did great and set themselves up for BYU. Some of them joined me for a couple on their cooldown, then I headed on a loop back to the house. Ended at 14.5 for the morning--wasn't fast and the legs didn't have much left in them when I was done. Hit my 60 for the week despite a couple of lousy days. Won't get there next week--between baby boy on Wed. and a race this weekend it is going to be a planned lighter week for me. Just need to stay healthy for another 5 months.

| | 4 on the ragnar relay yellow loop. Hit the first mile in 8:15, 2nd was a beast in 12:30, then ran a couple of 7:30 miles on the way back down the mountain. Held back knowing I had another 2 loops to run later............which I didn't because it pretty rained for 10 hours straight starting at 9 pm and the race was essentially canceled.
