Mayor's loop with Andy early this morning..........then added on 3 more through St James when we were done.  Groin/hip is really acting up.

Swam 1 mile at lunch.

Mile repeats on Tuesday again this week.  Pleased with how it went--was worried my hip/groin was going to be a problem, but it wasn't.  I could feel it, but it didn't hamper me at all.  Cloudy and muggy today, it was better than the heat last week.  Times were a bit better this week--probably because 1) no hill repeats on Monday 2) it was a little cooler.  Times were 6:12, 5:58, 5:50.  Ran with the doctor and took my little brother along---I was surprised he did all 3 in the 6:20 range.  Probably no double today since my little brother and family are staying with us and will demand fun activities this afternoon.

8 easy.  Slept in then ended up doing 8 on the treadmill after dinner at Chili's.......not the best idea I have ever had.

Up and back on the marathon course from the finish line.  The run up was fairly uneventful---just kept a steady pace (though it does kind of make you feel tough to pass everyone else who has taken the easy way and only runs down).  Made it just past the Ledges overpass when I hit 8 miles and turned around.  Tried to pick it up on the way back down.  Could feel my left Achilles a bit and the hip/groin gradually got more and more annoyed.  Averaged 6:48 on the way back---not an all out effort, but my quads were feeling pretty trashed by the end.  Ice bath afterwards.
